What Can I Do With 50lbs Of Used Aquarium Gravel?

I recently shut down my freshwater aquarium. Now, what do I do with 50lbs of used gravel? I don’t want to throw it in the trash.
Toss in a garden?
Offer it on eBay or Craigslist?
Dump into Lake Michigan?
Surely there’s something constructive and responsible that can be done with this gravel.

if you have potted plants at home you can put on the soil and it looks nice, be careful not to over water though.

You can either sterilize wash it (Boiling water) and re bag it and sell or put in the garden, don’t dump it anywhere as there maybe parasites in the gravel which will kill any life form within that lake if they can’t fight the bacteria, parasite.

talk to the people at the fish store and see what they say about how to clean it and give it away.
